Senstitization programme on formation of co operatives in Kilifi County.

The phase 1 of the formation of cooperatives exercise was only a success with certain key players including Kenya Fish Marketing Authority,BMU Network chair Mr. Tom Guda, Secretary Indian Ocean Water Body,Mr.Mtengo Omari, National cooperative officer, KeFS and county officials.

The team concluded their senstitization programme on formation of co operatives in Kilifi County. The team visited Marereni, Kichwa cha Kati and Mayungu BMUs. The fisherfolk from Kilifi expressed enthusiasm and were ready to register themselves into the BMU affiliated cooperative.
